Safeguarding

Our Safeguarding lead Trustees are Kate Aldworth and Cameron Shaw. You can contact them via our Governance Officer at governanceofficer@educatetogether.org.uk

At Educate Together Academy Trust, we have five schools across four Local Authorities: Bath and North East Somerset Council, Bristol City Council, North Somerset Council and Swindon Borough Council.

Each Local  Authority has their own arrangements for Safeguarding support services, so each school adopts the local practice and policy within their area to ensure services are as efficient as possible within their local context. However, as a trust, Educate Together Academy Trust has an overarching Safeguarding Policy, which you can find here.

Individual school policies can be found on the schools websites, in the Policies and Procedures tab, in Our School.

Our schools have responsibility for all aspects of children’s safety and wellbeing. This means that our safeguarding responsibilities include all potential risks to children.

This can include but is not limited to the following areas:

  • Children Missing in Education
  • Domestic Abuse
  • Children Affected by Parental Offending/Children Affected by Parental Imprisonment
  • Homelessness
  • Substance Misuse
  • Prevent
  • Young Carers
  • FGM
  • Child Criminal and Sexual Exploitation
  • Private Fostering
