Laura Bazell
DIRECTOR OF INCLUSION

Laura Bazell

Laura has worked in education for over 18 years. Starting out as the founder/director of the Madrelingue school, teaching English through music and drama in Italy. She qualified as a UK teacher in 2012 and then gained distinction* in the National Award for Special Education Needs Coordination from the Institute of Education and a Post graduate certificate in Language, Literacies and Dyslexia from Birmingham University.

In addition, she has an extensive knowledge of specialist strategies and interventions for Communication and Interaction needs, having worked closely with the Speech and Language team in Hackney to establish school wide communication friendly practices and a carousel of specialist interventions. The work they did together resulted in the Royal College of Speech and Language using the school to film a promotional video and as a centre for their staff to visit in order to see effective Inclusive practices in action.

Janet Bremner
TRUST GOVERNANCE OFFICER

Janet Bremner

As Trust Governance Officer, Janet is responsible for ensuring high standards of governance in the Trust, including the smooth and efficient administration of the Trust Board and its committees.

Janet has many years’ experience in school Governance and Clerking, across both MAT and LA supported schools. Using her experience, Janet supports the Clerks at each school, to ensure consistent, high standards throughout the organisation.

Nicki Crossley
DATA AND SYSTEMS OFFICER

Nicki Crossley

Nicki has a strong background in local authority, recruitment and financial services, before joining Redfield ET in 2021. Nicki has now moved to the Central Team to support all schools with data and systems support.

Lauren Evans
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Lauren Evans

Lauren is ACA Qualified. Before joining the Trust in 2018, Lauren worked at Mazars for 8 years, where she specialised in financial auditing and other supporting work with multi-academy trusts. Lauren is adept at flexible budget planning for new schools, having overseen the opening years at Somerdale, Parklands and Mulberry Park and is knowledgeable about all aspects of schools and pre-school funding, across a number of Local Authorities.

Claire Mansri

Claire has 25 yrs hands-on experience in Catering & Hospitality, specialising for 15 yrs in education. She ensures schools are safe, secure and welcoming.

Claire Mills
HR MANAGER

Claire Mills

Claire has been with Educate Together since 2018 , initially as a finance officer in Redfield. Claire now manages all aspects of HR operations across all the schools in the Trust including Recruitment and Payroll. Claire is an associate member of CIPD and holds a CIPD Diploma in HR Management.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Sam Nowak

Having first developed expertise in teaching within the classroom, I moved into school leadership. I have held several senior leader roles in schools developing my skill set in educational leadership, school policy development, school systems development, strategic planning and creating a highly effective work culture so that the establishment’s vision may be realised. I focus on outcomes based practice so that all pupils can achieve their full potential. My most recent posts include headship of a large primary school, prior to joining ETAT. I am also a qualified and practicing Ofsted Inspector.

Charlotte Talbott

Charlotte has worked in different sectors, including Healthcare and Property and so brings a lot of experience to support SEND provision at ETAT.

Jessica Thurman
FINANCE ASSISTANT APPRENTICE

Jessica Thurman

Jessica previously worked as a teacher in Steiner Education before deciding on a career change to accounting. Having gained an initial qualification through City of Bristol College she is now pleased to have been accepted as an apprentice at ETAT whilst studying towards AAT Level 3.

Kelly Winstone-Buss
FINANCE ASSISTANT

Kelly Winstone-Buss

Kelly started her career at Educate Together Academy Trust as a finance assistant in June 2020. The role involves many responsibilities including, but not limited to, processing payments, managing invoices and preparing bank reconciliations. Kelly has recently completed AAT Level 3 with Kaplan and is hoping to progress further within the upcoming years.
